Consult XXI to be Held at Silver Lake
Silver Lake Conference Center (Sharon, CT) will be the host for Consult XXI which will be held on November 6-10. This is the bi-annual gathering of camp and conference center leaders and supporters, of the UCC and eccumenical friends. We are thrilled that the President and General Minister of the UCC, Rev. John C. Dorhauer, will be joining us for this event. Please watch the website for more information as the planning team continues to work out all the details, but you can click on the picture to learn more about the conference.
Deering Grant Recipients
The Deering Fund was established from the sale of the Deering Conference Center property in Deering New Hampshire in the late 1980s. Since then, this fund has continued to grow and now makes the Deering Grants possible. The funds that make all this possible is just from the interest alone; the principal is not being used. Click on the picture to learn which sites received grants for this year and how they plan to use those funds to help their ministry.
Our Association's New Executive Director
Just prior to his recent retirement from his position as Executive Director of Blowing Rock Conference Center in North Carolina, Bill Bourdon approached the OMA-UCC Board of Directors with an idea of creating and assuming a new role in the OMA organization — an ex-officio Executive Director. The position would be volunteer. OMA would provide only a stipend to defray related travel costs. To learn more about this position, please click on Bill's picture to the left.
